The Member of the Year Award was established to recognise the exceptional contribution of an individual to the Institute through participation in and support of its events, publication of learned articles, and recruitment of new members of other significant activities. In the citation at the recent reception, Institute President Finbarr Cleary and Chair of the Institute’s Membership Committee noted that:
“Your contribution over the years to the Institute, our industry and in shaping supply chain thinking in our country and further afield has been considerable. You are a role model for our fellow members and a worthy recipient of this special inaugural award”.
They went on to wish Edward every success in his new post as Professor of Logistics at Aston University in the UK.
