NITL is delighted to announce that its successful Executive Masters programme in supply chain management (SCM) has attracted funding under the recently announced Springboard initiative of the Higher Education Authority (HEA). Springboard offers job seekers the option to take up a part-time course in higher education and training, free-of-charge. Over 200 courses are available in higher education colleges around the country, at Levels 6-9 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ).
All courses selected for Springboard funding are designed to meet current and future skills needs in Ireland. Learners can study information and communications technology (ICT), the green economy, qualifications for the health sciences sector, as well as a range of courses developing innovative business and entrepreneurship skills. Commenting on the launch of the initiative last week Edward Sweeney of NITL noted that: “the identification of SCM as a key strategic area for future economic development, as well as the selection of our Executive Masters for funding, is another indication of the critical role supply chain learning will play in leading the export-driven economic recovery”.
