As announced last month on this website, the 2014 Irish Transport and Logistics Awards (ILTAs) are now open for entries.  The award categories cover everything from individual achievements through to main aspects of the industry such as freight forwarding, innovation, technology, safety, environment and education. There are 19 categories to enter and you may enter as many categories as you feel relevant; however each entry must be tailored specifically to match the relevant criteria as this is what your submission will be judged on. Judging will be carried out under the auspices of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) under whose patronage the ILTAs take place. NITL is delighted to announce that Edward Sweeney has agreed to chair and co-ordinate the judging process. He commented that “the ILTAs promote excellence in logistics and supply chain management and are, therefore, very much in line with NITL’s mission. As past winners of the Education category, we understand what is required to make a mark in our sector. We encourage all of our partner companies to consider entering this year’s awards and look forward to meeting as many of you at the ceremony in March”.
