Following the largest ever annual intake into its M.Sc. programmes during 2011, NITL last week welcomed the first new cohort of 2012 to the Executive Masters programme in supply chain management (SCM). The new participants are supply chain professionals in a range of Irish and multinational firms including Diageo, Danone, Coca-Cola and Alcon.
Edward Sweeney with new Executive Masters participants
The programme commenced with a running of the Introduction to SCM module. This module provides an overview of both the strategic and operational dimensions of SCM and sets the scene for the remainder of the programme. The majority of participants have been away from formal education for several years so NITL uses this introductory module to kick-start the learning process. The module was very well received. Some comments from participants included:
- This was an excellent module to start the learning process again.
- Edward was very engaging; Expectations were very clear; Content was just right.
- Well designed and communicated effectively.
- A really engaging, interesting and interactive session.
- Explanation of different topics was great and very clear.
- Interaction between all on the course was excellent and relevant.
NITL wishes the new participants well as they embark on an exciting learning journey.
