NITL is delighted to welcome a new Visiting Professor and Post Doctoral Researcher.
Dr. Atul Borade, Dean Research and Development, Professor and Head of Mechanical Engineering, JD College of Engineering, Yavatmal, India is visiting NITL to assess and share the expertise in the area of vendor managed inventory (VMI). Specifically, he will work with NITL staff on a Genetic Algorithm based decision support system for small enterprises. He will also explore broader collaboration opportunities for Irish and Indian academics in supply chain research research and education.

Prof. Borade has taught courses on production and operations management throughout his career. His current primary area of research interest is VMI and its role in the wider supply chain. He has served on the Editorial Boards of several international journals. He is also an active reviewer for various journals. He has many publications to his credit in, for example: the International Journal of Production Research, the International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, the International Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management and the International Journal of Occupational Safety and Ergonomics.
