Edward Sweeney of NITL was a guest last week at the Hamburg School of Business Administration (HBSA) – University of Applied Sciences.

HSBA is the university of the Hamburg business community. It is supported by a non-profit private limited company lead-managed by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. Cooperating with more than 170 companies, it provides study programmes for over 500 students leading to a range of internationally recognised Bachelors and Masters degrees. Reflecting the importance of logistics and shipping to the economy of Hamburg and its hinterland, HSBA offers programmes in Logistics Management, as well as in Shipping and Ship Finance.

In addition to its education programmes HSBA academic staff are active in research in a range of fields including logistics. The university also has a strong international focus having developed partnerships with a range of overseas universities and companies. NITL, and its longstanding partners at the University of Naples, are working with HSBA staff to develop a number of pan-European education and research initiatives.
